In 1985, Rocky Road made up a trio of WTBS' original scripted series as the Superstation entered its first foray into producing original programming. Rocky Road had a budget of only $100,000 per episode while network sitcoms averaged $4000,000 per episode. Rocky Road easily represents one of the most cheesy situation comedies of the 1980s.

Scott remembers Fantasy Island and The Love Boat. Both shows used the draw of different guest stars each week that would vacation on a magical island or on a boat that seemingly fixed problems of the heart.

Scott feels The White Shadow that was filmed on location was light years ahead of its time. It starred Ken Howard. Check out the beginning of the pilot which also includes Tim Van Patten as "Salami" who today is one of TV's top directors (The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Sex and the City, etc.).

Josh loved Tour of Duty so much that he taped every episode on his VCR. The series was inspired by the success of Platoon. The first season was filmed in Hawaii, but seasons 2 and 3 were filmed on the old M*A*S*H sets outside of Los Angeles.

Forever a classic! Oh, Barney! Oh, Beav!
